Job summary

3M is seeking a Cost Productivity Specialist to drive enterprise transformation through financial governance, forecasting, and analytics. You will partner with FP&A, Controllership, HR, External Reporting, and PMO to ensure accurate tracking of transformation costs and savings.

The role involves leading quarterly balance sheet reviews, consolidating inputs across close cycles, and developing central stranded cost models while guiding senior leadership with clear reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• Seven years of Finance or Accounting experience in private, public, government, or military environment.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance activities related to transformation financials, including quarterly balance sheet reviews with Controllership and monthly CEO approval materials.
• Partner with external reporting to document and represent restructuring results in published financials.
• Consolidate transformation inputs across monthly close, forecast, strategic plan, and operating plan cycles.
• Support accurate representation of transformation results in internal reporting and published financials; communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Partner with PMO and cross-functional stakeholders to validate estimates and provide central Finance guidance on transformation assumptions.
• Align with Controllership, HR, External Reporting, FP&A, and PMO on expected financial impacts and execution tracking.
• Lead short- and long-term financial modeling for transformation initiatives (cost, savings, cash flow, balance sheet, stranded cost).
• Own central stranded cost model and perform ad-hoc FP&A analysis as needed.
