Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Senior leader to head Customs and Foreign Trade Americas & Strategy. The role ensures regulatory compliance, governance, and strategic alignment across the Americas with a focus on optimizing classification, valuation, and program implementations.

The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional team, drive major customs initiatives, and coordinate with government authorities, brokers, and internal stakeholders to sustain a strong value chain across US, MX, CA, and BR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in supply chain, international business, logistics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in global trade compliance, customs operations, and import/export processes.
• Strong knowledge of NA trade laws, HTS rules, export controls, and current US tariff policies.
• Soft skills: cross-functional leadership, data analytics, and excellent communication with authorities and stakeholders.
• Experience leading and coaching a team with accountability for objectives.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance, governance, and accurate import/export reporting within regulations.
• Oversee brokers and providers; audit KPIs, SLAs, and contracts.
• Manage HTS classification, valuation, origin determinations; leverage USMCA and FTAs.
• Support programs like IMMEX and CTPAT.
• Drive audits and risk mitigation; coordinate internal controls.
• Lead regional customs projects and support value-chain initiatives.
