Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a seasoned Trade Compliance Manager to oversee import/export documentation compliance and North America customs programs, including classification, valuation, and C-TPAT security. You will lead and coach teams across North America and coordinate with Trade Service Providers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Customs and Trade Compliance, strong knowledge of EAR, AES/ACE, SAP, and ERP systems, and willingness to travel 10-20% internationally from the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Business Management, or a related field, or a minimum of 10years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customs and Trade Compliance.
• Availability to support business needs outside regular working hours and on weekends when required.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally. (10-20%)
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Power BI, process flow mapping, email systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Understanding of logistics processes, bonded movements, and carrier management.
• Knowledge of North American customs laws and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
• Experience with AES and ACE systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee import/export documentation compliance and reporting controls for international shipments in North America.
• Lead Customs programs: Drawback, Free Trade Agreements, Classifications, Duty Minimization initiatives, KPIs, and audit controls.
• Ensure compliant declarations and adjustment reporting to BIS and CBP for export and import filings.
• Provide and support training for AUMOVIO employees on trade compliance topics.
• Coordinate classification updates in SAP and work with Trade Service Providers to obtain and maintain HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, export licenses, and license applications.
• Collaborate with Finance to establish valuation reporting processes and identify adjustments to declared values.
• Lead the C-TPAT program to ensure CBP guidelines compliance; conduct site assessments and maintain portal.
• Coach and oversee Customs Specialists, contracted staff, and Trade Compliance colleagues across North America.
• Perform AES filings, EEIs, SLIs; support export license applications; maintain export documentation for audits.
• Create, deliver, and oversee Foreign Trade Compliance training programs for North America.
