Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a U.S. Customs Operations Specialist to support day-to-day import and export activities from our Orlando/remote locations.

You will work under the Head of Customs Operations, coordinating with brokers and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance across all import/export transactions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of customs/international trade experience, familiarity with SAP GTM or similar Global Trade Management software, and a strong understanding of U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customs/international trade compliance.
• U.S. Customs Broker License is a plus.
• Experience with Global Trade Management technology/ERP systems such as SAP (GTS or GTM).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and tariff classifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import/export activity including review of documents and broker instructions.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal/external customers on customs matters and regulatory compliance.
• Support cross-functional projects related to trade transactions and regulatory requirements for U.S. businesses and affiliates.
• Optimize costs through compliant use of U.S. customs programs (Temporary Import Bonds, Chapter 98, Carnets).
• Prepare and submit clearance instructions to brokers, ensuring compliance with U.S. requirements.
• Engage with FDA, EPA, AD/CVD, Section 201, 301, 232, quotas and FTAs as applicable.
• Ensure export compliance, including EDI filings and record retention.
