Job summary

Trinseo LLC seeks a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to oversee compliant import/export operations across the Americas, ensuring regulatory updates and risk mitigation. The role interfaces with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to maintain accurate, efficient filings.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in International Business or related field, with 4-7+ years in customs/compliance and SAP GTS proficiency; audits and continuous improvement experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Customs & Trade, Logistics, or related discipline.
• Professional certification preferred, such as: Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), CCS, CITP, or similar.
• 4-7+ years of progressive experience in Customs & Trade Compliance, international trade, import/export operations, customs brokerage, or related functions.
• Proficiency in SAP GTS is required; Version 11 or E4H preferred.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations, tariff classification, country of origin, and free trade agreements.
• Experience with customs broker oversight, audits, and trade compliance program administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import and export compliance activities and support resolution of customs-related operational issues.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and service providers to ensure accurate and compliant filings.
• Review broker performance and resolve transactional discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance documentation, records, and audit trails.
