Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Customs Regulatory Specialist to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade laws across North America. You will advise partners, review transactions for risk, and coordinate with legal, supply chain, logistics, and engineering to keep import/export activities compliant and audit-ready.

You will lead training, develop internal controls, and drive continuous improvements in trade compliance operations, acting as a trusted advisor in a high-visibility function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in international trade compliance, customs regulations, export controls, and import/export operations.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, export controls, rules of origin, product classification, trade agreements, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing compliance programs, internal audits, and process improvements in trade compliance.
• Strong data analytics, risk assessment, and investigation skills with ability to guide business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to business units on U.S. customs regulations, export controls, product classification, rules of origin, and trade compliance requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal import/export compliance controls, licensing processes, and procedures aligned with U.S. regulatory requirements and Siemens Energy standards.
• Conduct internal audits, assessments, and gate reviews related to technical data, foreign travel, shipments, and trade activities to verify compliance effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Analyze trade compliance metrics, maintain regulatory records, and support investigations and resolution of complex compliance issues with legal and regulatory stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with government regulatory agencies while supporting cross-functional alignment with supply chain, logistics, procurement, engineering, operations, and legal teams.
• Develop and deliver trade compliance training programs and coach junior staff as a subject matter expert.
