Job summary

Tarte Inc. is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Analyst to support our international import and export compliance program.

This role will ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian, and global regulations while minimizing duty exposure and safeguarding regulatory risk across the supply chain. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Sourcing, Packaging Development, Product Development, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and external consultants to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Customs & Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Global Trade Compliance, Customs Compliance, International Trade, import operations, or global logistics.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canada customs regulations, HTS classification, origin rules, and tariff programs.
• Experience with CBP Ace and CBSA CARM portals.
• Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, analyze data, improve reporting, and streamline business processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform U.S. and Canadian customs audits, including CBP Form 7501 and CAD reviews.
• Review entries for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate customs broker requests for missing or required information, including HTS classifications, country of origin, anti-dumping validation, TSCA requests, and other documentation required for customs clearance.
• Assist with HTS classification and maintain accurate classifications and Customs Category Codes across applicable SKUs.
• Support trade compliance master data within ERP, Global Trade Management, and other applicable systems.
• Assist in generating and maintaining tariff reporting, including monitoring tariff exposure and communicating impacts to business stakeholders.
• Assist with maintaining Trade Compliance KPIs, including customs audit results, broker performance, classification accuracy, and other compliance metrics.
• Support analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities to improve compliance and business performance.
• Maintain accurate and compliant import/export records in SharePoint, Nav, and other applicable systems.
• Support documentation for customs audits and regulatory inquiries.
