Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks a Trade Compliance Officer to lead ITAR/EAR compliance, support defense-related activities, and collaborate with the Land Systems division.

The role will interact with engineering teams and foreign affiliates to ensure lawful movement of technology and adherence to applicable regulations. The successful candidate will typically hold a security clearance or be able to obtain one, travel 5–10%, and contribute to developing training and processes that strengthen Saab's export

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of ITAR/EAR experience or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Experience partnering with engineering on USML/ECCN classifications and product labeling workflows.
• Current or ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage export licensing and compliance strategies for defense-related activities.
• Coordinate with foreign affiliates on U.S., Swedish, and other national trade compliance requirements.
• Prepare and draft export license applications and related documents; track cases with U.S. Government systems.
