Job summary

Axiom seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Professional to lead global import/export programs for technology-focused operations. You will guide classification, licensing, and cross-border requirements, and partner with legal, product, engineering, and supply chain teams to embed compliance into operations.

You will mentor teams, develop and train on compliance policies, monitor regulatory changes, and manage complex, multinational trade matters to protect the business while enabling innovation.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in global trade compliance, import/export compliance, or export controls.
• Experience supporting technology, software, cloud, SaaS, or related organizations.
• Leadership or management experience, including leading teams, programs, or projects.
• Hands-on experience with both import and export compliance.
• Strong knowledge of product, software, and technology classification, including ECCN and HTS.
• Strong working knowledge of EAR, export licensing requirements, and applicable US import/export regulations.
• Experience managing complex trade compliance matters in a global or multinational environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage import and export compliance programs across global operations.
• Oversee export classification, including ECCN determinations for software, technology, hardware, and related products.
• Manage import and customs classification, including HTS classifications and related requirements.
• Provide guidance on EAR, export licensing, license exceptions, end-use restrictions, and country-specific controls.
• Lead trade compliance initiatives involving cross-border transfer of software, source code, technical data, cloud services, hardware, and technology.
• Develop, implement, and enhance trade compliance policies, procedures, processes, controls, and training programs.
• Lead teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives and provide direction on complex trade compliance matters.
• Partner with legal, compliance, product, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and business teams to integrate trade compliance requirements into operations.
• Identify compliance risks, conduct assessments, and drive remediation and process improvements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate impact to business leaders and stakeholders.
