Job summary

Axiom seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Professional to lead global trade compliance programs, including import/export, ECCN/HTS classification, and EAR guidance. The role requires leadership experience and a strong background in technology-focused organizations handling cross-border trade of software, cloud services, and hardware.

You will partner with legal, product, engineering, and supply chain teams to embed compliance into operations and drive remediation where needed.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in global trade compliance, import/export compliance, or export controls.
• Experience supporting technology, software, cloud, SaaS, or other technology-driven organizations.
• Leadership or management experience leading teams, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with both import and export compliance.
• Strong knowledge of product, software, and technology classification including ECCN and HTS.
• Working knowledge of EAR, export licensing, and U.S. import/export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage import and export compliance programs across global operations.
• Oversee export classification determinations for software, technology, hardware, and related products.
• Manage import and customs classification, including HTS classifications and requirements.
• Provide guidance on EAR, licensing, license exceptions, end-use restrictions, and country controls.
• Lead cross-border initiatives involving software, source code, cloud services, hardware, and technology.
• Develop, implement, and improve trade compliance policies, procedures, and training.
• Lead teams and cross-functional projects on complex trade compliance matters.
• Partner with legal, product, engineering, supply chain, and business teams to integrate trade requirements.
