Job summary

Staffmark is seeking an International Trade Compliance Manager to lead import/export compliance across a complex international supply chain in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. You will partner with internal teams, suppliers, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure compliance with U.S.

and international trade regulations. This leadership role includes managing a small team, overseeing classifications, documentation, export filings, and risk mitigation while refining trade policies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of international trade compliance experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or people-management experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs documentation, and international trade regulations.
• Experience with CTPAT and ISA programs.
• Ability to work with international suppliers, brokers, and government agencies.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day import and export compliance operations with internal teams, suppliers, brokers, and government agencies.
• Provide oversight on classifications, trade documentation, product data, and import/export requirements.
• Manage and develop a small team of trade compliance professionals.
• Oversee export documentation and electronic export filings.
• Resolve import compliance issues and help ensure shipments move compliantly.
• Educate suppliers and internal stakeholders on trade data and regulations.
• Partner with CBP and other agencies on requests for information, audits, and regulatory guidance.
• Maintain and improve trade compliance policies and documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on CTPAT and ISA programs.
• Collaborate with legal and leadership on compliance projects and risk mitigation.
• Provide strategic guidance on international import/export requirements across multiple countries.
