Job summary

Firefly Aerospace seeks a Trade Compliance Manager to drive export controls and regulatory compliance across EAR/ITAR and sanctions. You will lead due diligence for M&A and partnerships, perform license determinations, and advise on complex compliance matters with engineering, legal, tax, HR and supply chain teams.

The role requires at least 5 years in export compliance within aerospace, deep ITAR/EAR knowledge, TAAs experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in export compliance within aerospace or defense.
• Deep knowledge of ITAR and EAR with USML/CCL classifications.
• Experience drafting TAAs or similar export authorizations.
• Experience with foreign national compliance and tech control plans.
• Strong stakeholder management and regulatory communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 5-10% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Drive export compliance program across EAR/ITAR and sanctions.
• Participate in due diligence for mergers and partnerships, including screening and license reviews.
• Conduct deemed export assessments and license determinations for hiring and suppliers.
• Provide guidance on EAR, ITAR and sanctions requirements.
• Partner with engineering, legal, tax, HR and supply chain to scale compliance processes.
• Lead cross-functional projects and resolve ambiguous challenges.
