Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, Inc. in Texas seeks a Trade Compliance Manager to lead export controls, ITAR/EAR, and sanctions compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will partner with engineering, legal, and supply chain to enable fast-paced innovation while ensuring regulatory requirements are met. This role requires deep knowledge of export regulations, hands-on licensing experience, and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of export compliance experience in aerospace/defense or related regulated industry.
• Deep knowledge of ITAR/EAR and sanctions; able to manage licensing processes.
• Experience with TAAs or similar export authorizations and foreign national compliance.
• Strong written communication and regulatory submissions experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 5–10% and operate cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and implementation of export compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships with sanctions screening.
• Conduct foreign national reviews and determine export license requirements.
• Provide guidance on EAR, ITAR and sanctions; ensure scalable compliance solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, tax, HR, and IT to balance compliance and rapid innovation.
• Drive continuous process improvements to reduce risk while enabling business objectives.
