Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Principal, Global Trade Compliance Counsel. This role advises on EAR, ITAR, CBP and OFAC regulations, coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance compliance objectives.

Reports to the Senior Director and Managing Counsel, Global Trade Compliance. The position involves developing enhanced policies, leading investigations, and supporting mergers and due diligence while traveling 10–20% to supporting sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree with minimum 13 years of related experience.
• J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Admission to a U.S. jurisdiction bar in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years as a global trade attorney with ITAR, EAR, or OFAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on export controls and sanctions (EAR/ITAR/OFAC).
• Lead investigations of compliance incidents and disclosures to regulators.
• Develop and implement compliant policies, procedures and controls.
• Support M&A activities and post-closing compliance efforts.
• Conduct internal risk assessments and site compliance visits.
• Coordinate with Legal and functional leadership on key considerations.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Travel 10–20% as needed.
