Job summary

Toyota Tsusho America in Georgetown, KY seeks a Logistics Import/Export Compliance Supervisor to lead a team ensuring compliant import/export activities across the business. You will manage documentation with customs brokers, monitor regulatory changes, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in import compliance, customs brokerage, or global trade operations.
• Experience leading audits and training programs.
• Certification in customs brokerage (CCS) preferred.
• Other relevant certifications (CES, CIEP) a plus.

Responsibilities

• <strong>Compliance and Regulatory Management:</strong> Ensure all import and export activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• <strong>Documentation and Record-Keeping</strong> : Manage and maintain accurate records of import and export transactions, including but not limited to commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. Ensure proper documentation for customs clearance and regulatory compliance. Import and Export Value Reconciliations
• <strong>Customs Broker Coordination:</strong> Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes. Resolve any issues or delays in customs clearance.
• <strong>Team Leadership and Development:</strong> Supervise a team of compliance coordinators and provide guidance on compliance procedures. Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the team. Lead trainings to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the import/export process and the documentation that is required.
