Job summary

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) seeks a Global Trade Compliance Specialist to manage import operations and ensure compliant, timely clearance of products into the United States from BD facilities and customers. You will classify products using HTS, coordinate PGA data with FDA/USDA/EPA, and work with brokers and internal teams to maintain regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in global trade, strong knowledge of U.S. customs and HTS, and experience with SAP GTM/ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years in global trade compliance or related function.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, HTS classification, and FDA/PGAs.

Responsibilities

• Import operations and customs compliance to ensure timely, compliant clearance.
• Classify imported products using HTS codes per U.S. Customs regulations.
• Determine PGA data requirements (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.).
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and SMEs for HTS & PGA information.
• Review invoices and import documentation for compliance; resolve discrepancies.
• Provide clearance instructions to customs brokers and facilitate release of shipments.
