Job summary

Arrow Electronics seeks a Legal Director, Global Trade Compliance Counsel to provide subject matter expertise on U.S. and international trade laws, including import/export controls, sanctions, and antiboycott laws, while leading Arrow’s global trade compliance organization.

The role requires 5+ years in export controls and a J.D. with bar admission, and offers leadership of a large global team with global responsibilities from Centennial, CO or remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in U.S. export controls, embargoes, sanctions, or anti-boycott work.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one state.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on import/export controls, sanctions, and antiboycott laws.
• Lead the global trade compliance organization.
• Advise on export licensing and authorizations with business leaders.
• Counsel on license applications, classifications, and export documents.
• Communicate legal risks clearly to internal clients.
• Collaborate across units to ensure worldwide compliance with trade regs.
• Review contracts for trade compliance.
• Travel required; lead a large global team.
