Job summary

Arrow Electronics seeks a Legal Director, Global Trade Compliance Counsel to provide subject matter expertise on US and international trade laws, including import/export controls, sanctions, and antiboycott rules, and to lead Arrow's global trade compliance organization.

You will advise on licensing, classification, and compliance programs, collaborate across business units and external counsel, and oversee policy development and documentation in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience with US export control laws and regulations, embargoes, sanctions and anti-boycott requirements.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with active U.S. state bar membership.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on US and international trade laws, including import/export controls, sanctions and antiboycott laws.
• Lead global trade compliance organization and counsel business units.
• Advise on export licensing, classifications, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with Arrow legal colleagues and external counsel to ensure worldwide compliance.
