Job summary

Alcon, a leader in eye care, seeks an International Trade Counsel to join the Global Trade Compliance team at Fort Worth, TX. The role provides legal advice on sanctions, export controls, and customs, shaping the company’s trade strategy.

You will work with Head of Global Trade Compliance, manage audits, design compliance tools, and counsel on contracts and mergers. Requires US bar license, 6+ years in trade compliance, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent preferred (or bachelor’s + extensive related experience).
• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
• 6+ years of experience in trade compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on international trade laws, sanctions, and export controls.
• Support Head of Global Trade Compliance to design and manage trade compliance tools and processes.
• Monitor changes in trade laws and assess impact on Alcon’s business.
• Manage audits, investigations, and inquiries related to trade compliance.
