Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking an experienced international trade attorney to support trade compliance across a global manufacturing client. You will partner with legal, compliance, operations, supply chain, and business leadership to navigate export controls, sanctions, customs, and other international trade regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. and active bar membership, with significant experience in export controls and cross-border compliance.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership required.
• Extensive experience advising on export controls, sanctions, customs, and international trade compliance.
• In-house or law firm experience preferred.
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on export controls, sanctions, customs, and cross-border trade compliance.
• Advise stakeholders on regulatory risks in international transactions and global operations.
• Develop and enhance global trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and reviews related to trade matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.
• Assist with training, audits, regulatory inquiries, and engagement with government agencies as needed.
• Monitor changes in trade laws and provide practical guidance to leadership.

This individual will partner closely with legal, compliance, operations, supply chain, and business leadership to navigate export controls, sanctions, customs, and other international trade regulations.
