As International Trade Counsel on the Global Trade Compliance team in Alcon’s Legal & Compliance function, you will provide trade compliance legal advice to Alcon’s Global Trade Compliance staff and business functions and will serve as a key member of Global Trade Compliance to ensure ongoing trade compliance in North America. You will deal with the complex set of customs laws, export controls, and economic sanctions that apply globally. You will be trusted to work on Alcon's trade compliance risk management, cost reduction efforts, and data management at our Fort Worth, Texas location.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Experience: (Required)
Must be licensed to practice law in the United States.
At least 6 years of experience as an attorney in trade compliance matters (a combination of private practice in a law firm and as in-house counsel at a multinational company is preferred).
Strong analytical skills and pragmatism.
Experience with FDA-regulated products, preferably medical devices.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office products.
History of study and/or work experience outside the United States preferred.
Experience with trade laws outside the United States a plus.
Experience with SAP GTS a plus.
