Job summary

Baker Hughes Holdings LLC is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for International Trade to lead development of our Trade Compliance Program. You will provide legal advice on US export controls, sanctions, and customs, and guide investigations and disclosures to the U.S. government.

The role requires JD, 5+ years in compliance and regulatory counsel, and bar admission. You will monitor global trade laws and oversee ITC training and policy development within a dynamic, global energy technology company.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Compliance & Regulatory Counsel.
• Bar admission and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Solid experience with US & EU licensing and registration regimes, including dual use, military, and nuclear.
• Experience in international trade law, including export compliance and sanctions.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills and an excellent analytical ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication, able to explain complex legal/regulatory concerns to non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to our business on US Customs and Export Controls Rules and Regulations, Sanctions regulations.
• Lead trade compliance investigations and manage submissions and disclosures to the U.S. government.
• Work with a team dedicated to continual enhancement of the compliance program.
• Manage ITC Compliance policies and procedures and key elements of the Trade Program with our Compliance program.
• Monitor and communicate new international trade laws, rules and regulations that impact our business.
• Manage ITC Compliance training content and annual roll-out to support our program initiatives.
