Job summary

KBR is seeking a Global Counsel, Trade Compliance to lead the company's export control program across U.S. and international operations. You will provide legal guidance, manage ITCO, and collaborate with leaders worldwide to ensure compliant business growth.

Responsibilities include licensing, sanctions, classification, training, audits, and due diligence; you will serve as ITAR Empowered Official and drive continuous improvement across programs and functions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 8–10 years of legal practice experience in global trade compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, government contracting, or other regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee export licensing activities, classifications, and government authorizations.
• Advise on export control, sanctions, and cross-border regulatory implications.
• Lead compliance program governance, training, audits, and due diligence.
