Job summary

KBR is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Counsel to lead the company’s export controls program and provide strategic legal guidance across domestic and international operations. The role partners with business leaders, programs, customers, suppliers, and government agencies to integrate compliance into daily operations.

The successful candidate will manage licensing, training, audits, and regulatory reviews, ensuring adherence to evolving rules while supporting global growth and compliance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 8–10 years of legal practice experience.
• Extensive experience advising on global trade compliance matters.
• Knowledge of ITAR and EAR export control regimes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee export licenses, classifications, and government authorizations.
• Provide trade compliance training and guidance across the organization.
• Review proposed projects and contracts for export control requirements.
• Engage with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
• Lead audits, due diligence, and regulatory investigations.
