Job summary

Gateway Recruiting seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist to interpret and apply rules for imports and exports, manage day-to-day shipments, and enhance processes for compliance and efficiency.

The role requires advanced knowledge of ITAR/EAR, HTS classifications, and coordination with SAP and government systems. Candidates should bring 5–8 years of related experience, strong communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in import/export regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations (ACE).
• Experience with US Import and Export regulations and operations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Trade Compliance rules for imports and exports.
• Manage day-to-day tasks for shipments/workflows and strategic process improvements.
• Coordinate with SAP, Excel and government systems for shipment analysis and analytics.
• Provide data and reports on compliance performance within the unit.
• Review inbound/outbound shipments for import/export and dangerous goods compliance.
