Job summary

Citigroup is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Lead to drive scalable test automation across large transformation programs. You will manage a central automation team, partner with functional testers and delivery teams across front, middle, and back-office apps, and shape automation strategy with modern tooling including GenAI-enabled testing.

You will oversee multiple test engineering teams across regions, ensuring high-quality releases through best-in-class automation practices,

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading global QE teams across multiple regions and vendor resources.
• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
• Proven success driving large-scale test automation transformations with measurable improvements.
• Hands-on with modern automation frameworks and approaches (Selenium, Playwright, UFT, etc.).
• Experience piloting GenAI/AI-based tooling in testing contexts with credible technical discussion.
• Certifications in Agile/Quality (CSTE/CSQA/ISTQB/SAFE) are a plus.
• Strong testing across Web & API, ETL in RDBMS, and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile Dev teams, PMs, and Scrum Masters to ensure QA in Sprints and UAT.
• Lead a team of Agile Test Engineers to deliver MVP releases.
• Groom backlog, participate in daily scrums, and automate test scripts.
• Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and maintain a modular test automation framework across UI/API/data/workflow tests.
• Ensure high-quality test data management and TEM collaboration.
• Coordinate with DevOps and release trains for production-ready deployments.
