Job summary

APM Terminals Elizabeth is hiring an Assistant Procurement Manager to help lead end-to-end procurement activities in a busy port terminal environment. You will work with regional and global teams to source goods and services, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years in procurement, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Experience with procurement lifecycle management and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with spend data and market analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP and e-tendering platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement for services, supplies, inventory, and equipment for the terminal.
• Assist with sourcing, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bids, supplier selection, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, HSSE, and Supply Chain.
• Develop procurement analytics: spend reporting, category analysis, vendor performance.
• Maintain supplier onboarding, contract compliance, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
• Support governance, risk management, and digital procurement initiatives.
