Job summary

Barings is seeking a senior technology leader to serve as Head of Global Technology, reporting to the COO. You will own the technology strategy for the Global Technology & Data unit, ensuring secure, scalable operations and modern data capabilities while enabling business outcomes across the firm.

You will lead the GTD leadership team, drive automation and transformation, and partner with risk, compliance and the board to align priorities and sponsorship for strategic change.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ senior leadership experience in technology, data and/or AI within a complex, regulated or enterprise-scale environment.
• Proven ability to define and deliver a multi-year technology, data and AI strategy.
• Experience leading senior, multidisciplinary technology teams across data management, cyber security, infrastructure operations, and application development.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the multi-year Global Technology, Data and AI strategy with a clear roadmap and investment plan.
• Own the operating model with governance, accountability and prioritisation aligned to risk and regulatory expectations.
• Lead the GTD leadership team to deliver disciplined execution, collaboration and succession planning.
• Set strategic direction for AI-enabled technology and enabling platforms with secure, value-driven adoption.
• Oversee enterprise data capabilities and analytics to improve decision-making and operational effectiveness.
