Job summary

UPM is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join our global team. This fully remote role focuses on driving sales through expert knowledge of pressure-sensitive label materials, converting, and printing technologies, while building trusted customer relationships across regions.

You will lead cross-functional projects, coordinate inquiries, and translate customer needs into feasible, profitable solutions. Fluent English and travel flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with pressure-sensitive label materials and related processes.
• Understanding of label products, specs, and customer process needs.
• Commercial mindset aligning technical solutions with customer value.
• Experience in customer-facing technical work or consultative selling.
• Ability to independently manage projects and coordinate stakeholders.
• Ability to build trusted relationships at multiple organizational levels.
• Structured analytical thinking with practical problem solving.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned market/region.
• Fluent in English and in the local language (French/German/Italian).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales development through technical expertise and customer engagement.
• Act as a customer-facing contact for technical matters coordinating inquiries with internal functions.
• Identify and progress technically demanding business opportunities from need to feasibility.
• Provide expert consultation on pressure-sensitive label materials, converting and printing technologies.
• Lead customer technical projects end-to-end with planning, coordination and risk management.
• Support product homologation, trials and new product implementation with clear criteria.
• Build long-term customer relationships and demonstrate capabilities of UPM Adhesive Materials.
