Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Worldwide Technical Regulations Compliance Engineer to ensure products meet global regulatory, safety, environmental, cybersecurity, and market access requirements.

You will partner with product teams, certification labs, and regulatory experts to drive compliant product launches and influence development lifecycles. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential to balance technical and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/CS field.
  • Typically 4–6 years of experience in product engineering or regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance disciplines (Safety, EMC, Wireless/Telecom, Energy Efficiency, Cybersecurity).
  • Experience managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with suppliers, manufacturing partners, certification agencies, testing labs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure HP products comply with global regulatory and technical requirements (Safety, EMC, Wireless/Telecom, Energy Efficiency, Cybersecurity).
  • Partner with product development teams early to identify regulatory requirements and risks.
  • Manage compliance activities for multiple product development programs from concept to commercialization.
  • Develop and execute certification strategies to support launch schedules and market access.
  • Coordinate regulatory testing with ODM/OEM partners and third-party labs.
  • Review and approve regulatory documentation (test reports, technical files, certifications).
  • Prepare Declarations of Conformity and other compliance docs for global distribution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, sourcing, supply chain, and regulatory teams to resolve issues.
  • Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to project teams and management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, tools, and automation.
