Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Manager II (TPM II) to serve as the Global Process Owner for a global maintenance program, owning end-to-end definition through global execution and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on driving cross-organizational consensus, communication, and execution of a multi-year program vision within AWS data center operations. You will manage the standard maintenance program, coordinate gated reviews, and steward it across AWS regions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment >1000V.
• Experience with and working understanding of electrical safety and maintenance regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own operational relationships with support teams, internal operations partners, and cross-organizational stakeholders to drive increased performance.
• Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills and use data to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and set program goals.
• Interact with customers, project sponsors, product managers, and multiple teams to define and deliver complex solutions.
• Recognize and drive opportunities to simplify and standardize processes across the program.
• Lead the technical standard for your program and influence related designs.
• Drive teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across groups with competing priorities.
• Lead the delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and unblock path forward when needed.
• Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks across the program.
• Create and disseminate program information to stakeholders and report health to leadership.
• Travel up to 25%.
