Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Global Sourcing Manager to lead technology purchases globally. You will develop and negotiate sourcing strategies with IT, Security, Privacy, and Legal to deliver robust contracts and favorable terms.

You will collaborate across Engineering and Business teams, manage supplier performance, and drive the annual renewal cadence to ensure business continuity. This role requires strong negotiation, analytics and strategic thinking across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience; internships excluded.
• Able to negotiate complex terms and make independent decisions.
• Strong project management across multiple initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP or purchasing systems.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate license models and terms to complete full contract packages.
• Present recommendations to stakeholders on deviations and upholds.
• Stay up to date on IT, automotive, and GM software directions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Security, and Eng.
• Develop sourcing strategy for technology requirements and suppliers.
• Manage supplier governance, lead times and renewal cadence.
• Drive benchmarking data to inform strategy and decisions.
