Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Global Sourcing Manager to lead technology purchases regionally and globally, shaping sourcing strategies with IT, security, and legal teams. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and drive ICT procurement across software, SaaS, and infrastructure.

Strong negotiation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration are essential as you coordinate with Engineering, Legal, and Security to deliver robust contracting and strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in purchasing (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered).
• Analytical thinking with the ability to effectively negotiate terms and conditions.
• Consider various factors in decision making to determine solutions and their impacts, and make recommendations on the terms.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to create a technology roadmap by collaborating with IT.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Software, IT, and Automotive industries and the strategic direction GM software and services is headed.
• Partner with IT and Business on strategy of supply base, technologies, products used, future products, technology roadmap, and viable suppliers for technology requirements.
• Develop and manage suppliers under guidance of quality, service, technology, and price negotiations.
• Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines proactively.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, robust terms, and complete a full contract package.
