Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Global Sourcing Manager to lead technology purchases—software, SaaS, infrastructure—globally. You will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate terms with IT, Security, Privacy and Legal, and present recommendations to management.

You will drive supplier governance, renewals, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, IT and Business Stakeholders while delivering on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate technology license models and terms to complete a full contract package
• Recommend terms based on negotiation outcomes to stakeholders
• Stay updated on IT and automotive industry directions and GM software strategy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Legal and Security
• Partner with IT and Business on supply base strategy and vendor roadmap
• Manage supplier governance, deadlines and contracts
• Engage stakeholders across departments to support sourcing decisions
• Develop and manage suppliers under quality, service, price negotiations
• Proactively manage annual renewal cadence for continuity
• Adhere to corporate purchasing and accounting policies
• Develop benchmark data to drive strategy
• Resolve commercial issues and assess supplier performance
• Communicate effectively with leadership and teams
• Execute the sourcing process to manage packages
