Job summary

Socket.dev in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Director of Tax to lead its global tax function, overseeing the consolidated tax provision, compliance across U.S. federal/state/local and international taxes, and strategic tax planning.

You will collaborate with Finance, Legal and Operations, drive tax governance, implement technology, and guide audits while managing risk and optimizing the worldwide tax position.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible corporate tax experience.
• Extensive experience in U.S. federal, state, local and international taxation.
• Significant experience with ASC 740 tax accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience implementing and managing OECD Pillar Two requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Company's global tax strategy in support of business and operational objectives.
• Provide strategic tax advice to executive management on domestic and international tax matters.
• Direct all quarterly and annual tax accounting activities, including ASC 740 tax provision and related disclosures.
• Oversee U.S. federal, state, local and international tax compliance activities and ensure timely statutory reporting.
• Lead international tax planning initiatives, including transfer pricing policy and intercompany arrangements.
• Direct the OECD Pillar Two compliance programme, including GloBE calculations.
• Develop and maintain tax governance policies, documentation, and tax positions.
• Forecast the Company's annual effective tax rate and tax exposures.
