Job summary

PayPal is seeking an experienced Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global compliance with information reporting and withholding rules, including FATCA, CRS, CARF, and 1099, across products and processes. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to assess new products and update policies as needed.

The candidate will assess risk, provide defensible positions, and may mentor junior attorneys. Strong experience in global information reporting and tax matters is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience with JD or foreign equivalent.
• Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Ability to independently manage significant tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex tax issues affecting operations and initiatives.
• Develop technical tax analyses to support planning, reporting, and compliance.
