Job summary

Det-Tronics, a global leader in industrial life safety solutions, is seeking a Manager of Systems Engineering to lead a team of design, software, and test engineers. The role oversees budgets, schedules, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver custom-engineered system solutions that meet customer specifications across multiple projects and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Fire Protection, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably with fire & gas detection or life safety systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD and other system engineering software and testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of project design, software, and test engineers.
• Oversee engineering budget and schedule resources for timely execution of system engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure design, testing and delivery meet customer specifications.
• Administer root-cause analysis for field issues and drive engineering improvements.
• Develop and coach team members on policies, procedures, and control processes.
