Job summary

Montera is seeking a Senior Vice President of Data Center Operations to build and lead our global operations platform as we scale a hyperscale data center portfolio. Reporting directly to the COO, this executive will develop strategy, standards, and teams to deliver reliability, safety, efficiency, and customer experience across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience leading mission-critical infrastructure, data center operations, semiconductor facilities, or large-scale industrial operations.
• 10+ years of executive leadership experience managing multi-site operations organizations.
• Demonstrated success operating hyperscale data centers supporting cloud, AI, or high-density compute environments.
• Experience leading operations across multiple campuses, regions, or global portfolios.
• Deep understanding of critical infrastructure systems (electrical, UPS, generators, cooling, controls, mechanical).
• Proven experience developing operational readiness, commissioning, and construction-to-operations transitions.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA, risk management).
• Experience implementing CMMS/EAM platforms and enterprise maintenance programs.
• Track record building and leading large-scale operational organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term operations strategy for a rapidly expanding hyperscale data center portfolio.
• Build and lead an operations organization responsible for facilities, engineering, maintenance, reliability, and readiness.
• Establish governance, policies, procedures, and best practices across sites.
• Oversee transition from design/construction to live operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance and lifecycle programs across critical infrastructure.
• Drive initiatives to improve uptime, efficiency, safety, capacity, and customer experience.
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure operational effectiveness.
• Oversee vendor management, service partners, and operational procurement.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce risk and operating costs.
• Support customer engagement as a senior operational representative.
