Job summary

Montera, a remote-first company building hyperscale data centers, seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead the development organization and expand the national platform. Reporting to the CEO, you will own development strategy, market selection, land acquisition, power strategy, and technical due diligence.

You will build a scalable development function, mitigate risks early, and guide projects from opportunity through construction readiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data center development or related infrastructure.
• Experience leading a development function and multi-market pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of power/interconnection and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy, market selection and powered-land pipeline.
• Oversee site origination, land acquisition, and development control.
• Direct power strategy, utilities engagement and energization planning.
• Own due diligence and development readiness from opportunity to handoff.
• Manage entitlements, permitting and community engagement.
• Scale the development organization and governance.
