Job summary

iHerb is seeking a Global Sustainability Manager to own our sustainability and environmental compliance strategy across all markets. You will lead responses to evolving regulations, including EPR and CSRD, ensuring timely reporting and cross‑functional alignment with Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in global sustainability, ESG, or environmental regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
• Strong working knowledge of EPR frameworks, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and related US state-level packaging/EPR laws.
• Experience managing multi-jurisdiction regulatory registrations and reporting cycles.
• Excellent cross-functional communication, with ability to present risk and compliance topics to senior leadership.
• Industry experience in retail, CPG, e-commerce, or a regulated consumer products environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own global sustainability and environmental compliance strategy across all iHerb markets.
• Monitor and interpret evolving global sustainability legislation (EPR, CSRD, EU Deforestation Regulation) and translate into actionable business plans.
• Manage EPR registration, reporting, and fee obligations across jurisdictions.
• Direct data systems governance with Operations and Product teams for regulatory data accuracy.
• Establish SOPs, compliance workflows, and deadline-tracking systems.
• Serve as primary contact with regulators, trade associations, and compliance schemes.
• Provide guidance on regulatory risk to Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising.
• Build internal subject-matter expertise to reduce reliance on external counsel.
