Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Supply Manager to own strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cost management for direct materials across the end-to-end product lifecycle.

You will lead negotiations, build supply-continuity strategies, partner with Engineering and Product on NPI, and drive cost-down initiatives while mentoring analysts and engaging with global suppliers. This is a high-ownership role in a hyper-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or global supply management with direct commodity ownership and multi-million-dollar spend.
• Experience sourcing hardware/electro-mechanical components and NPI sourcing with Engineering.
• Strong should-cost and cost-modeling capabilities; able to defend cost positions and drive cost-down results.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategic sourcing for direct-material commodities including supplier selection, RFQ, award, and ongoing management.
• Lead commercial negotiations on price, tooling/NRE, MVA, payment terms, and MPAs.
• Build and execute supply-continuity strategies: dual-sourcing, alternate sources, and risk mitigation.
• Drive NPI sourcing with Engineering and Product to hit cost and availability goals ahead of ramp.
• Establish a supplier chessboard and assess strategic fit, gaps, and expansion.
• Own quarterly cost locks and PPV reductions with a cost model.
• Manage supplier performance and run structured business reviews.
• Bring AI into procurement: define use cases and deploy analytics for spend and risk.
• Collaborate with Legal on contracting and with Operations on transitions.
