Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Global Planning Manager in the US to orchestrate global supply chain capacity and demand planning, leading a product planning team and aligning with regional strategies.

The role collaborates with customers, manufacturing, and other functions to ensure availability, optimize inventory, and hit KPIs across regions, with a focus on strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business.
• 8+ years in supply chain planning with global operations and team leadership.
• Proven capacity planning, demand forecasting, and optimization.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage across regions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and analytical tools.
• Experience driving continuous supply chain improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead global capacity and demand plans (SIOP) aligned with objectives.
• Oversee Customer Supply Chain Analysts ensuring alignment with strategies.
• Collaborate with key customers to understand demand models and forecasts.
• Define and drive global replenishment strategies and inventory transitions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and ops teams for flexible capacity.
• Drive initiatives on security of supply, inventory optimization, and SLOB.
• Develop and execute strategic supply chain initiatives at global/product levels.
• Set and monitor global KPIs for on-time delivery, inventory, and cost.
• Lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects across processes/systems.
• Provide weekly updates to stakeholders and lead business reviews.
• Represent SCM within Product Team to align capabilities with objectives.
