Job summary

OPmobility is seeking an experienced Industrial Supply Chain Excellence Engineer at the Fairfax/Kansas City site with a long-term, at-will contract. The role focuses on improving internal flows, storage systems, and automated transport while driving best practices across plants.

You will lead safety initiatives, benchmarking, and VSM/MIFD workshops, and contribute to strategic planning for future projects in the automotive supply chain domain.

Qualifications

• Foreign trade degree or applied knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in process mapping and flow optimization.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics, including internal flows, material handling, and inventory management with SAP, MRP & WMS.
• Data analysis and problem solving using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Project management experience; inventory budget management and KPI tracking.
• SIOP experience; automotive supply chain operations and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and ensure policies are understood and followed.
• Organize benchmarking to identify best practices and technological innovation.
• Design best-in-class solutions for storage, automated transport, and warehouse operations.
• Create and update internal flow engineering standards for operations and engineering.
• Deliver training and share best practices to the supply chain community.
• Lead VSM/MIFD workshops and develop plant layout and flow transformation plans.
• Provide strategic inputs for complex quotation phases and plant planning.
