Job summary
OPmobility is seeking an Industrial Supply Chain Design Engineer in Toledo, Ohio to design and optimize internal flows, storage and automated transport, while leading workshops to improve plant layouts and performance.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in automotive supply chain operations, Lean/Six Sigma, and strong data skills (Excel/Power BI) to drive strategic improvements across plants.
Qualifications
- Lean and Six Sigma with practical Kaizen and 5S experience.
- Strong process mapping and flow optimization capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of automotive supply chain, internal/external flows, and inventory.
- Proficient with SAP, MRP and WMS systems; data analysis with Excel/Power BI.
- 10+ years in automotive supply chain operations; Lean manufacturing background.
Responsibilities
- Organize benchmarking to identify best practices and technological innovations.
- Design and develop best-in-class solutions for storage, automated transport, IT tools and material handling.
- Create and update internal flow engineering standards for Operations & Engineering.
- Deliver training and share best practices to the Supply Chain Community.
- Lead VSM/MIFD workshops in plants and plan layouts to improve performance.
- Provide strategic inputs for complex quotation phases.
- Advise plants during planning, design and execution of internal flows projects.
