Job summary

OPmobility is seeking an Industrial Supply Chain Design Engineer to drive optimization of internal flows, storage, and automated transport solutions. The role requires deep experience in automotive supply chain operations and lean manufacturing, with a focus on data-driven optimization and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will shape plant layouts, lead workshops, and provide strategic input across quotation phases while ensuring best practices and training for the supply chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, foreign trade knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong process mapping and flow optimization capabilities.
  • Extensive supply chain and logistics knowledge with SAP, MRP & WMS.
  • Data analysis using Excel or Power BI.
  • 10+ years in automotive supply chain operations and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Organize internal and external benchmarking to identify best practices and technological innovation.
  • Design and develop best-in-class solutions for storage, automated transport, IT tools, and material handling.
  • Create and update internal engineering flows standards for Operations & Engineering.
  • Deliver training and share best practices to the Supply Chain community.
  • Lead VSM/MIFD workshops and plan plant layout and flows transformation to improve performance.
  • Provide strategic inputs for complex quotation phases.
  • Support plants during planning, design and execution of internal flows projects.

  • Job Title : Industrial Supply Chain Design Engineer
  • Type of contract : Long-term At-will
Responsibilities:
  • Organize Internal and external benchmarking to identify best practices and Technological Innovation.
  • Design and develop best in class solutions for:
    • Storage Means (Hanging Shopstock, WIP trolley, Racks, Transtocker, Warehouse, ...)
    • Automated Transport (Tow AGV, lift AGV, Forklift AGV, ...)
    • IT Tools (WMS, Material Call, E-Kanban, ...)
    • Material Handling organization (Kitting, Direct Feeding, …)
  • Create and update all internal flows engineering Standards for application in Operations & Engineering.
  • Deliver training and share best practices to the Supply Chain Community.
  • Lead VSM/MIFD workshops in plants and develop strategic plan for plant layout and flows transformation to improve performance and prepare for future projects
  • Provide strategic inputs and direction for complex quotation phases.
  • Provide strategic inputs and direction for Plants during planning, design and execution of Internal Flows projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Foreign trade degree or applied knowledge a plus
  • Process Mapping & Flow Optimization
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Knowledge (especially internal flows, material handling, and inventory management) with SAP, MRP & WMS.
  • Data Analysis & Problem Solving (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Inventory management experience
  • Supply chain management experience
  • Problem solving and improvement management
  • Inventory budget management experience and KPI tracking
  • SIOP (Sales Inventory & operational Planning)
  • Experience 10+ years in Automotive Supply Chain Operations (Internal flows especially, external flows also appreciated) & Lean Manufacturing.
