Job summary

OPmobility SE is seeking a Site MRO/Indirect Buyer Professional for our Kansas City Metro location. You will own and optimize the plant's indirect purchasing, manage supplier relations, and drive cost savings through competitive sourcing and robust vendor governance.

Ideal candidates have a technical or business background in purchasing with 3+ years in an industrial, international setting and experience in indirect procurement.

Qualifications

• Technical or business background with specialty in purchasing (from the ad).
• 3 years of experience in purchasing in an industrial & international environment.
• Experience in industrial indirect purchasing is a plus (scope maintenance, repair, industrial consumables and services, CAPEX, and lost packaging).
• Knowledge of markets (local, regional, global).
• Purchasing process knowledge: supplier selection/ranking, commodity strategy, sourcing, order-to-pay, technical negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities in line with E&L BG governance rules and purchasing policy.
• Owns the plant supply base and evaluates it yearly via vendor rating.
• Manages risk with Finance on supplier health and penetration rates.
• Benchmarks MRO costs and purchasing conditions across plants to identify improvements.
• Develops synergies with other buyers to leverage volumes and reduce costs.
• Manages supply base relationships per OP purchasing policy and resolves supplier issues.
• Follows and reports MRO performance using standard KPIs and documents savings.
• Leads supplier negotiations ensuring fair competition with at least 3 bidders.
• Manages purchasing requests flow and initiates RFQ for the plant.
• Prepares sourcing recommendations and presents them in sourcing.
• Post-approval, manages ordering per law, OP policy and contractual obligations.
• Manages plant contracts and implements global contracts for the plant.
• Optimizes order-to-pay process and proposes solutions for recurrent purchases.
