Job summary

Amgen seeks an Associate Director of Data Science for Global Supply Chain Digital to lead AI/ML initiatives and scalable digital products across onshore and offshore teams. The role spans strategy, governance, and hands-on data science leadership to improve forecasting and inventory optimization.

The candidate will guide India-based capability teams, collaborate with IT and business units, and drive data-driven transformation across global supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent with strong data science leadership
• 5+ years leading global or offshore technical teams
• Experience building scalable data science apps for manufacturing or supply chain
• Expertise in AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, and digital product development
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; strong data architecture experience

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI, GenAI and advanced analytics to transform end-to-end SCM operations.
• Lead development of scalable digital products, analytical apps, and automation on large datasets.
• Establish and scale a Global SCM Digital capability team in India; define org structure and governance.
• Provide leadership for global teams of data scientists and digital developers across locations.
• Partner with business leaders, IT and data engineering to deliver robust analytics solutions.
• Develop visualizations and executive insights to support strategic decisions.
• Explore emerging technologies and modern data practices to enhance capabilities.
• Lead productivity analytics and KPIs across the global supply chain.
• Mentor Digital/Data Science staff and foster innovation and collaboration.
