Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Operations in Digital Product Management. You will partner with the VP and leaders to translate strategy into priorities, coordinate operating rhythms, and drive organizational effectiveness across AI & Data initiatives.

You’ll lead portfolio decisions, executive communications, and cross-functional planning, shaping a high-impact strategy with strong governance and metrics.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2+ years of strategic planning, business operations, or consulting experience
• OR Master’s degree and 4+ years of the same experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
• MBA or advanced degree in strategy, management, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and operational support to the VP and senior leadership team
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable goals, action plans, milestones, KPIs, and accountability frameworks
• Serve as a trusted advisor on portfolio, organizational, capability, and investment decisions
• Shape and run annual operating rhythms (LT offsites, staff meetings, readouts)
• Manage day-to-day execution of departmental strategy and cross-functional priorities
• Develop executive-level presentations and governance materials
• Lead organizational design, talent strategy, and change management initiatives
• Enhance leadership team effectiveness and cross-functional alignment
