Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Manager for Third-Party Risk Strategy in the Optimize team. Based in one of multiple U.S. offices, you will shape the global TPRM program, collaborate with Ethics & Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Cyber teams, and drive improvements across the supplier onboarding lifecycle.

You will lead strategic initiatives, advance risk controls, and partner with stakeholders to foster a risk-aware culture, delivering measurable impact on risk and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience with 5+ years in risk management or compliance.
  • Experience in developing internal controls, processes and principles related to third party risk management.
  • Strong judgment and integrity with collaborative skills.
  • Excellent project management skills across cross-functional projects.
  • Curious mindset and ability to learn new concepts across content areas.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and AI capabilities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support design and evolution of McKinsey's supplier risk lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Ensure onboarding processes are efficient, auditable, and aligned with risk appetite and UX expectations.
  • Co-create strategy and manage risk-based processes for an end-to-end supplier onboarding program.
  • Define and monitor program metrics, improve performance, and reduce risk exposure.
