Job summary

nVent is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to bridge customers, engineering, and suppliers and lead RCCA and Kaizen events to ensure zero-defect manufacturing. The role supports PPAP and supplier audits while traveling up to 30% to supplier locations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supplier quality, a mechanical/electrical engineering background, and RCCA/PPAP proficiency with ISO 9001 auditing training or related certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in Supplier Quality-related functions.
• Proficiency in RCCA methods (RCCA, 8D, 3L5Y) and PPAP elements (PFMEA, Process Control Plan, Capability Studies, MSA).
• Certifications: CQE, CMQ, CQA, or APQP; ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training; Six Sigma/Lean training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the strategic liaison between production, program teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Lead RCCA activities and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate supplier robustness and lead supplier engagement and cadences.
• Support global standards audits and the Supplier PPAP process.
